Parent Forum

We are developing our Parent Forum Representative's role within school and as we do so we need to establish their roles and responsibilities. Although we have parents assigned to each class or year group, parents can put their views forward to any of the Parent Forum members. Agenda items are sent to parent forum representatives who will then discuss these with the parents in the year group or class. Feedback is then taken to the parent forum rep meetings. If you feel you need to discuss or comment on things not on the agenda and it is about whole school issues please let them know.
Roles and responsibilities:-

  • A spokesperson for parents and thus a crucial link between the parents and the school.
  • Work on a strategic level, looking at policies, forming part of the school self evaluation and school development plan.
  • To collect and represent views of parents in your class about whole school issues.
  • To discuss appropriately any issues and help to solve any issues.
  • To think strategically and be mindful of all children and families in our school.
  • To uphold and demonstrate Christian values at all times.

If you have an issue or comment about class matters, teachers or children etc. then please follow the usual channels of talking to the class teacher in the first instance.
